Field trips

I think my favorite part of school, other than home work, is field trips. There's something about them that just give me that adrenaline rush. Maybe it's just because every out of town field trip I have taken has been great, in every sense of that word. Like in seventh grade, I had my first out of town field trip with my school. We had to pack the night before, and bring blankets, pillows, and mobile entertainment because the bus ride was seven hours there and seven hours back. We had to be at the school early in the morning, like around six o' clock. My mom dropped me off on the side of the school, where I saw the other students walking to the brightly lit school in their pajamas. We waited in the auditorium where we met our friends and their families anxiously waiting for them to dismiss us to the coach buses. When they dismissed us, we would grab our friends and all their stuff, and run for our lives. All just to get a descent seat close to the back. There we would excitedly wait for all our other friends to assume their seats in the back also. Soon after, after everyone boards the bus, the driver takes off, beginning the long drive to our destination. After the actual trip, the bus ride home is a whole other story...

  1. So where did you go? Funny how that's missing. Is the journey better that the destination? Might be a topic worth exploring further.

By the way, have you reserved your seat for Midsummer Night's Dream?
